BIOGRAPHY OF DEPECHE MODE

The group's history began in 1976 in Basildon, England. It was during a performance noticed at the Bridge House in London that they got picked up by the Mute Records record label. Their first album, "Speak & Spell", was released in November 1981 and the single, "I just can't get enough", made them well known.

DEPECHE MODE, A HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE GROUP

Depeche Mode released a string of albums, "A broken frame" in 1982, "Construction Time Again" in 1983. The group's popularity continued to increase. In 1984, "Some Great Reward", which included the single "People Are People". "Black Celebration", which marked a change in the group's sound, moving away from synthpop to become more personal. In 1989, Depeche Mode released the "Violator" album and the single, "Personal Jesus".

FROM THE 90S TO NOWADAYS

After the huge success of "Violator", Depeche Mode experienced major difficulties between the health problems of Dave Gahan and the departure of Alan Wilder, who was considered the creative core of the group.

After a few "minor" albums, they made a comeback to the scene in 2001 with the Exciter album, which marked the revival of the group and was followed by Playing the Angel (2005), Sounds of the Universe (2009) and Delta machine (2013), their latest album.
