  • Stade Français Paris will host RC Toulon on Saturday February 18th, 2012* at the Stade de France.
    There will be revenge in the air since the Paris team suffered a heavy defeat in the first leg, losing 34 to 8. 
    Matthieu Bastareaud will be highly intent on shining against his former team mates while Paul Sackey, who took the opposite path, will be only too glad to bring victory to the capital city's club.

    
    

    Stade Français Paris will provide a programme of activities in full Carnival colours:

    - A pedal car race fought in several games,

    - The Stade Français Paris Cheerleader show,

    - A traditional Brazilian carnival show, including the Capoeirist Show and samba dancers,

    - On stage, "Collectif Métissé", the band that had us singing and dancing all summer to their sunny chorus "Let Go of Your Problems", will play 3 tunes. 

    - The Great Carnival Parade complete with traditional costumes.

    - The ball's mystery arrival…!

     
    

    At half-time, the pedal car race and the Stade Français Paris Cheerleaders will be back for more.
    And following the game, a major fireworks offered by the PMU will close this great rugby spectacular!

  • The Stade de France establishes the world's first live tweet inside a stadium. 

    
    
    The Stade de France has experimented the first-ever live tweet from the stands during the Racing Metro 92 vs Stade Toulousain game. On the strength of the 2,243 tweets generated by over 200 users, the experience will be repeated and extended.
    The Stade de France has appealed to its community via its social networks, asking internet users to provide a live analysis of the match, summarised in 140 characters. The initiative was enthusiastically received by the community, who proceeded to launch an absolute tsunami across the Stade de France social networks.
    5 supporters of each team were asked to come and confront each other by live-tweeting the match between Stade Français Paris and RC Toulon at the Stade de France next February 18th.
    The tweets that were generated have also been used as the editorial basis of a video capsule showing the game and broadcast on the Stade de France youtube section, thus making it possible for all French people to become sports analysts for the time it takes to send a tweet!
    
    
    
    
    Everyone can also take part in the live tweet together with high-profile guests by using #StadeDeFrance before and during the match.
    There are other surprises in store for those community members who will be watching the game on the Stade de France social networks next February 18th.
